The poem in the picture was selected through a contest at
Columbia College Chicago. The college had students submit haiku poems
to be incorporated into a Red Line Harrison Stop renovation project.
Students could submit up to ten poems, but only a handful would actually
be built into the renovation and displayed. My submission won a spot!
You can still see it at the Harrison Red Line Stop today.
On
another note, it did not occur to me to title my haiku poems. I simply
numbered my ten submissions with Roman numerals. Oops.
